Former University of Hawai'i football players Josh Leonard and Jameel Dowling agreed to free agent contracts with NFL teams today.
Leonard, a defensive tackle, agreed to a contract with the Houston Texans.
Leonard wowed NFL scouts earlier this month at UH's Pro Day by bench-pressing 225 pounds 41 times and completing the pro-agility test in 4.35 seconds.
Before Pro Day, he drew little interest. In the past three weeks, he has received inquiries from 20 NFL teams.
Leonard, who is 6 feet 2 3/8, said he gained 15 pounds since Pro Day and now weighs 298.
Dowling, a 6-foot-3, 205-pound cornerback, agreed to a contract with the Arizona Cardinals.
Leonard and Dowling completed their Warrior careers this past fall.
