Filling their most pressing need, the Seattle Seahawks selected outside linebacker Aaron Curry of Wake Forest with the fourth pick in the NFL draft.

Then they traded out of and back into the second round, netting Denver's No. 1 draft choice in 2010 and versatile, All-Pac-10 center Max Unger of Oregon.

The deal with the Broncos gave Denver the No. 37 overall selection yesterday. Minutes later, Seattle sent its choices in today's third round (68th overall) and fourth round (105th overall) to Chicago in order to take Unger at 49th overall.

Unger, a Hawai'i Preparatory Academy graduate, is listed at 6 feet 4 and 309 pounds.

In his first two seasons at Oregon, he played left tackle. He moved to center for his final two seasons and was named all-conference all four years.

Unger had private workouts for several teams leading to yesterday's draft.
