Honolulu Academy of Arts members can take advantage of a 15 percent discount at J. Crew on Friday during a members-only cocktail and shopping at the retailer's Ala Moana store.

But while the Academy's event and sale are private, J. Crew will still be open to the public throughout the event from 7 to 9 p.m.

Purchases will help benefit the museum's education programs.
