Ever read a cookbook and thought, "I could do better than that"? Ever wished you could gather all your family recipes in one place? Ever found yourself on a cookbook committee for your church, group or club? Here's help: I'll be teaching a class in "How to Write a Cookbook" 9 a.m. to noon May 2 in Kapi'olani Community College's 'Ohi'a Building, Room 118. Having written three cookbooks, I learned a lot the hard way, so I'll cover everything from recipe development and testing to publishing routes and marketing. The class is suitable for any type of cookbook, from self-published personal recipe collections to professionally published bound books. You can find out more at: http://programs.kcc.hawaii.edu/~continuinged/schedule2/culinary/lrcb25.htm. Fee: $35, including handouts. To register: 734-9211.
