Festival of Flowers will be a multicultural celebration

A Festival of Flowers celebration is scheduled from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at Hawaii's Plantation Village in Waipahu.

While Flores de Mayo is a Filipino tradition, other cultural events will also be celebrated including a Chinese lion dance and dragon boat festival, Hawaiian lei-making, a Japanese and Okinawan Boy's Day celebration and bon dance practice, a Portuguese Catholic Holy Ghost Festival, and a Korean Tano Festival.

There will be children's activities, entertainment and food.

The event and parking are free.
