Man shot to death in Kailua; suspect held

KAILUA — A man in his 50s was fatally shot last night in a residential area of Kailua, and police had a suspect in custody in Kane'ohe.
The shooting was reported at 9:24 p.m. in the 400 block of Oneawa Street. The victim appeared to have multiple gunshot wounds, said Bryan Cheplic, of city Emergency Services.
The man was taken to an area hospital, where he was pronounced dead, Cheplic said.
The suspect was arrested at about 10:30 p.m.
