CFB: Nevada will play future football vs. Arizona, UCLA
Associated Press
RENO, Nev. — Nevada has reached agreements with Arizona and UCLA for the two Pac-10 schools to play future football games at Mackay Stadium.
Athletic director Cary Groth says the Wolf Pack will start a three-game series with UCLA in 2013 and a "home-and-home" series with Arizona beginning in 2014.
Groth says it is part of a commitment to schedule national-caliber competition.
Coach Chris Ault says the games make sense because the West Coast schools are in areas of particular importance to recruiting.
Nevada will travel to UCLA on Aug. 31, 2013 and again Sept. 19, 2015. The Bruins will come to Reno on Sept. 17, 2016.
The Wolf Pack will play Arizona in Tucson Sept. 13, 2014. The Wildcats will come to Reno on Sept. 12, 2015.
