NFL: Falcons' Douglas lost for season with knee injury

FLOWERY BRANCH, Ga. — Atlanta Falcons receiver Harry Douglas is out for the season after suffering a knee injury.
Coach Mike Smith says Thursday that Douglas suffered a torn anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee in a drill on Wednesday and will miss the season.
The loss of Douglas leaves the Falcons short-handed at the position while 2008 Pro Bowl receiver Roddy White is holding out for a new contract. Douglas was filling in for White with the first-team offense in training camp.
Douglas, a 2008 third-round pick from Louisville, had 23 catches for 320 yards in his rookie season.
