A U.S. Coast Guard rescue helicopter airlifted two men from an overturned kayak off Molokai yesterday.
The Coast Guard said it received a mayday call from the kayakers via a handheld radio.
The men reported their kayak had overturned about 100 yards off Kalaupapa.
An HH-65 Dolphin rescue helicopter crew from Air Station Barbers Point was sent to the scene.
The helicopter crew hoisted the men aboard and transported them to awaiting Emergency Medical Services personnel on Molokai.
