The monthly First Friday art event features events spread across downtown, starting at the Hawaii State Art Museum and moving through the Chinatown Arts District.

Tonight's line up includes:

• Aerial Romance with Samadhi Aerial dancers flying from the trees, Jeff Peterson, Hawaii Drill Team, Anita Hall, Venus T, QuadPod and DeShannon Higa at the Hawaii State Art Museum from 6 to 9 p.m.

• The new Hawaii Glass Artists exhibit opens at The Arts at Marks, with live glass blowing outside with a roaring Glory Hole on the street, Doolin Rakes playing Celtic dance music inside beer specials.

• Artist Dalek will show an original piece at Soho Media Lounge on Pauahi and Fort streets, as well as sell t-shirts to benefit the Contemporary Museum.

• Ong King Art Center entertainment from 9 p.m. to 2 a.m., with a Kirtan Ceremony on the tabla from Ryan, Dakini Bellydance, rock from Breathe of Fire, trance from Quadraphonix, ukulele soloist Taimane Gardner, all hosted by the poetess Bridget Gray.
