Award-winning songwriter and composer Kenneth Makuakane will give a keynote address on music and creativity Aug. 17 from 8 to 9 a.m. at Wo International Center's Luke Lecture Hall on the Punahou School campus. Kamehameha Schools alumni will host the second annual Relay For Life at Kamehameha Schools' Kunuiakea Stadium on its Kapalama campus beginning Saturday, at 6 p.m. through 7 a.m. The event will honor Ke Ali'i Bernice Pauahi Bishop, who battled breast cancer; remember classmates and loved ones who have died from cancer; and raise money for cancer research. The Ko'olaupoko Hawaiian Civic Club has scheduled its last two cultural tours for 2009 Saturday aboard the glass-bottom boat.
