CANTON, Ohio — All that was missing were the chicken wings, because the Pro Football Hall of Fame induction ceremony had a distinct Buffalo flavor.

Bills owner Ralph Wilson opened by loosening up the crowd with a few humorous anecdotes. And the chants of "BRUUUCE!" resounded through Fawcett Stadium last night, even before former Bills defensive end Bruce Smith had taken the podium.

In between, Kansas City linebacker Derrick Thomas and Dallas Cowboys receiver Bob Hayes were inducted posthumously.

Also inducted were defensive back Rod Woodson and Vikings offensive guard Randall McDaniel.

The biggest cheers came from Bills fans, who are in town not only to honor their two Hall of Famers, but also preparing to see Terrell Owens make his debut in a Bills uniform today, when Buffalo plays Tennessee in the Hall of Fame game.

Wilson's induction came as the NFL prepares to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the founding of the American Football League.

Wilson provided a big laugh when recalling the first time he went to address his players in the locker room at halftime, during a game which the Bills trailed 21-7. The Bills then went on to lose 51-7, which led to coach Buster Ramsey approaching Wilson after the game.

"Buster said to me, 'Hey, Ralph, next time, talk to the other team," Wilson said with a laugh.

SEAHAWKS

SOURCE: CURRY TO GET $34M GUARANTEED

The Seattle Seahawks have signed first-round draft choice Aaron Curry to a contract believed to guarantee the star linebacker from Wake Forest $34 million, a person familiar with the deal said last night.

The contract is the richest for a rookie non-quarterback in NFL history and has a maximum value of $60 million. The person spoke on condition of anonymity because the Seahawks haven't announced the agreement's financial terms.

Curry, the No. 4 pick overall last spring, made a surprise appearance at yesterday's practice to boisterous applause from Seahawks fans at the Virginia Mason Athletic Center in Renton, Wash.

FALCONS

WR WHITE AGREES TO EXTENSION

After holding out for the first week of training camp, receiver Roddy White agreed to a new contract with the Atlanta Falcons last night.

Several media reports said White had worked out a six-year deal worth around $50 million, including $18 million in guaranteed money. He will become one of the NFL's highest-paid receivers, though short of Larry Fitzgerald's $10 million-a-year deal with Arizona.

White had a career-best 88 receptions and set a franchise record with 1,382 receiving yards last season, ranking fourth in the NFL, and earned his first Pro Bowl appearance.

STEELERS

QB ACCUSER ALLEGEDLY BRAGGED ON SEX

The woman suing quarterback Ben Roethlisberger for alleged sexual assault has been accused of bragging about having consensual sex with him to a co-worker.

According to court documents filed late Friday, Angela Antonetti said the woman who made the rape claim "did not appear to be upset, stressed-out or nervous" about her time with the Pittsburgh Steelers star during a 2008 celebrity golf tournament at Lake Tahoe.

Antonetti says her Harrah's hotel-casino co-worker "appeared happy and boastful" about it and later said she thought she might be pregnant from the encounter.

In her lawsuit, the 31-year-old Nevada woman says the two-time Super Bowl winner raped her, a claim Roethlisberger vehemently denies.

EAGLES

TE INGRAM HAS TORN ACL IN LEFT KNEE

Philadelphia Eagles rookie tight end Cornelius Ingram has suffered a torn ACL in his left knee and is likely out for the season.

The team said an MRI scan taken yesterday revealed the injury he sustained on Tuesday.

The fifth-round pick missed his senior season at Florida after tearing the ACL in the same knee almost exactly a year ago.

BROWNS

DL SHAUN SMITH RELEASED

Cleveland Browns yesterday cut veteran defensive lineman Shaun Smith, who started 19 games in two seasons with Cleveland and last year was involved in a weight-room fight with quarterback Brady Quinn.
