Guillermo is now a tropical storm

Hurricane Guillermo is now Tropical Storm Guillermo, the Central Pacific Hurricane Center reported tonight.
Guillermo’s maximum sustained winds have dropped to about 70 mph, with higher gusts, the center said.
As of 11 p.m., Guillermo was about 815 miles east of Hilo and moving west-northwest at 15 mph.
It’s expected to gradually turn northwest over the next few days, putting it on a track that would have Guillermo “well to the northwest of the Hawaiian Islands,” according to the Central Pacific Hurricane Center.
Forecasters have said the storm is not expected to have any direct impact on the state's weather. But it may cause hot muggy conditions and high surf on windward shores by midweek.
