Advertiser Staff

Foodland Super Market will match donations of its customers starting Monday until Aug. 31 to help the Hawai‘i High School Athletic Association “Save Our Sports” program.

HHSAA SOS fund was created by HHSAA executive director Keith Amemiya to help Hawai‘i public high school athletics hit by severe budget cuts.
Foodland, Hawai‘i’s largest locally owned and operated grocery retailer, will match customers’ contributions dollar for dollar of any amount up to $249 at checkout stands at any Foodland and Sack N Save stores statewide.
Customers may make a donation with cash, check, debit card or credit card. The amount donated will appear on the customer’s receitp. Donations are tax deductible.
After Aug. 31, Foodland will match the total collected from its customers up to $50,000.
“We were saddened to hear about the recent budget cuts to Hawai‘i’s public schools athletic programs and we want to do what we can to support our schools and community,” said Jenai S. Wall, Foodland chairman and CEO.
For information, go to www.hhsaa.org or call 732-0791 (Foodland) or 587-4495 (HHSAA).
