NFL: Bengals sign TEs Kapanui, Foschi

CINCINNATI — The Cincinnati Bengals have made a move to stock their most depleted position, signing free-agent tight end Kolo Kapanui, who was released by the New Orleans Saints after an arrest.
Kapanui, a Kamehameha Schools alum, spent part of last year on the Saints’ practice squad. He and receiver Biren Ealy were released in May after they were accused of exposing themselves to two women in the parking lot of an apartment complex where they lived.
The Bengals also signed tight end J.P. Foschi, who played 11 games with Oakland in 2005-06 and seven for Kansas City last year. He was waived by the Raiders on Saturday.
Starting tight end Reggie Kelly is out for the season after tearing his Achilles’ tendon, and backup Ben Utecht has been sidelined by a concussion.
