NORFOLK, Va. — Marcus Vick, the younger brother of recently reinstated NFL quarterback Michael Vick, has been sentenced to 20 days in jail for a probation violation.
Marcus Vick was sentenced Thursday in Norfolk General District Court. He was on probation after his conviction in October 2008 on DUI, eluding police and other violations. Vick got a 12-month suspended jail term and was ordered to pay fines, complete the Alcohol Safety Action Program and stay away from drugs and alcohol after also testing positive for marijuana use.
Attorney Lawrence Woodward says Vick admitted in court that he would likely test positive for marijuana use again if tested. Woodward says the verdict has already been appealed.
The sentence was first reported by The Virginian-Pilot of Norfolk.
