Suspect arrested in June 1 robbery on Kapaekahi Street

A 32 year-old Wai'anae man was arrested Wednesday as a suspect in a robbery that reportedly took place June 1.

A 33-year-old woman told police she was at her daughter's home in Wai'anae when a man showed up and began arguing with her.

She said the argument escalated and that the man ripped her earrings from her ears and took items out of her purse before running away.

Police found the suspect Wednesday at a home on Kapaekahi Street and arrested him on suspicion of second-degree robbery, second-degree theft, violating a temporary restraining order and a firearms violation.
