A 24-year-old man who was wanted in connection with the alcohol-poisoning death of a 15-year-old girl last month turned himself in to police Thursday and was charged Thursday night on suspicion of five counts of promoting intoxicating liquor to a person under 21.
Michael Clark posted aggregate bail of $10,000 and was released. He was scheduled to appear in District Court Sept. 18 to answer to the misdemeanor charges.
Police believe Clark was hosting a party at his Hawai'i Kai home July 30 when one of the guests, Makamae Ah Mook Sang, was found unresponsive.
Ah Mook Sang was later pronounced dead and the city medical examiner determined that she died of acute alcohol poisoning.
