Last week the pros “canstructed” sculptures from canned goods. Today, from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., 40 preselected parent-child teams will participate in Mac-Struction, a benefit for the Hawaii Foodbank. The teams will compete to see who can create the best structure out of 50 boxes of Kraft Macaroni & Cheese.

You can find Mac-Struction in Pearlridge Center’s Downtown Center Court; head to the Uptown Center Court to check out the Canstruction structures. Bring canned food donations to vote for your favorite to take the People’s Choice Award and see winners like the “Pound Out Hunger” poi pounder by Fung Associates, which was named Juror’s Favorite after construction last week.
