Kapi'olani Medical Center for Women & Children will continue its centennial celebration with a free birthday party at the Honolulu Zoo next Sunday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. There will be live entertainment by Henry Kapono, Jasmine Trias and others. Kahala Rotary Club delivers backpacks
The Rotary Club of Kahala Sunrise delivered 55 backbacks full of supplies to 11 East O'ahu schools this year. Club members collected and sorted the supplies at a drive on July 28 at the Walmart on Ke'eaumoku Street in Honolulu and delivered them to Ali'iolani, Anuenue, Hawai'i Center for the Deaf and the Blind, Variety, Wilson, Kahala, Liholiho, 'Aina Haina, Lili'uokalani, and Wai'alae Elementaries as well as Kaimuki Middle School. 'I Love Liliha' event features arts, crafts

Ex-Radford student wins in taekwondo
Honolulu native and former Radford student Jasmine (Haid) Cloe was crowned World Champion in Form on June 26 in the 1st-degree black belt division for women ages 30 to 39 at the American Taekwondo Association's World Championship in Little Rock, Ark. Leilehua T-shirt sales benefit 2010 class
Leilehua High School's MuleNation kicked off the school year with two new T-shirt designs that were unveiled at the Aug. 14 Unity Bowl between Leilehua and Radford. Short-sleeve shirts are $12, long-sleeve shirts are $18 and baby-T's are $12. Proceeds help the class of 2010 pay for expenses such as prom, senior sneak away and graduation.
