Driver collides with hydrant, creating geyser on Nimitz

A driver lost control of a car and knocked over a fire hydrant in front of the Nimitz Business Center yesterday, unleashing a geyser of water onto the highway.
No one was injured in the crash, which was reported at 12:52 p.m., Honolulu fire Capt. Robert Main said.
The collision occurred in front of the New Eagle Cafe in the west-bound, mauka-side lanes of Nimitz Highway, Main said.
