“State of Aloha,” a new, one-hour documentary from the University of Hawaii’s Academy for Creative Media, will air during a special presentation of PBS Hawaii’s political discussion show “Insights” at 7:30 p.m. Thursday.
This is the first program from ACM to be broadcast to a statewide audience.
The documentary was a four-year research produced by ACM students and professional mentors. It draws its title from a sermon on statehood delivered by Rev. Abraham Akaka on March 13, 1959.
