Tropical Storm Hilda continues to move west-southwest on a track far south of Hawaii.
At 11 a.m. today, the center was about 520 miles south-southeast of Hilo and about 710 miles southeast of Honolulu, the Central Pacific Hurricane Center said.

Hilda is moving near 9 mph and is expected to maintain a west-southwest course for the next 24 hours. The tropical storm is then forecast to turn to the west.
Maximum sustained winds are near 45 mph with higher gusts. Little change in strength is forecast during the next 24 hours. Tropical storm force winds extend outward up to 70 miles from the center.
The next advisory will be issued at 5 p.m.
