CFB: Michigan Big House suites cost up to $85K/per year

ANN ARBOR, Mich. — A University of Michigan official says the school has commitments for 70 percent of the luxury suites the new-look Big House will have in 2010.

Senior associate athletic director Joe Parker says he expects the rest of the boxes to be filled next fall. Parker made his remarks during a tour of the $226 million renovation on Wednesday.
For $55,000 to $85,000 per season and at least a three-year commitment, well-heeled fans will have 16 comfortable seats in a 15-foot-wide by 28-foot deep box that comes with two TVs, granite countertops and sapele wood cabinets.
Parker says 58 of the 82 suites being built at Michigan Stadium have been secured with $10,000 deposits and almost 70 percent of the 3,000-plus club seats have been reserved.
