Input sought on possible fish rules for Hawaii

HONOLULU — The state plans to hold meetings on Oahu and Lanai over the next six weeks to discuss possible regulations for fishing parrotfish, or uhu, goatfish, or weke, and Jacks, or ulua.
These fish help maintain healthy coral reefs, so overfishing is a source of concern for the state.
The Department of Land and Natural Resources has already held similar meetings on Kauai, Maui and the Big Island.
