NFL: Steelers expect Roethlisberger to play Sunday

Associated Press

PITTSBURGH — Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger has worked out without problems since missing Sunday night’s game in Baltimore with a concussion. He is expected to resume practicing Wednesday.

Coach Mike Tomlin says Roethlisberger has not had any headaches since Friday. He is expected to play Sunday against Oakland barring any further complications.
Roethlisberger’s post-practice headaches last week were brought on by physical activity. Ateam doctor recommended he not play during the 20-17 overtime loss in Baltimore.
The quarterback sustained his fourth concussion since 2006 and his second in less than a year during an overtime loss in Kansas City on Nov. 22.
