Medical examiner identifies woman found in beach park
A woman who was found dead Sunday in Ala Moana Beach Park has been identified as Flora Kiehm of Honolulu, according to the city medical examiner.
Kiehm, 64, was found dead between lifeguard towers 1B and 1C by a couple taking an early morning walk.
The medical examiner said Kiehm died of asphyxia due to drowning. The manner of death has been deferred pending further investigation, although police initially said they did not suspect foul play.
Park workers told KITV that Kiehm was a homeless woman who had set up camp in the park.
