Aiea High stages Nutcracker excerpts

Aiea High School’s dance program will this week stage excerpts from the Nutcracker Ballet.
Performances are set for today, tomorrow and Thursday during the school day. Another performance, 6:30 p.m. Thursday, will be held in a dance studio.
The event, choreographed by dance teacher Desiree Cremer, marks the first staging of a classical ballet at Aiea High — the only public high school in Hawaii that has a formalized dance program. Students study ballet, modern, jazz and ethnic dance at the school.
