Maui Electric Co. will host a community meeting to discuss a South Maui electric line extension project, the Maui News reported.

The meeting will be at 6:30 p.m. Thursday in the Kamali'i Elementary School cafeteria.

MECO officials and project planners will give a presentation including preliminary alternative routes for the new transmission line between the Mä'alaea Power Plant and Kíhei.
