NFL: Jets Sanchez to practice, status uncertain

By DENNIS WASZAK Jr.
AP Sports Writer

NEW YORK Injured Jets quarterback Mark Sanchez will practice this week, although coach Rex Ryan is uncertain what the rookies status will be for New Yorks next game against Atlanta.

Ryan said he wants to see how Sanchez gets through Wednesdays practice before making a decision.
Sanchez didnt make the trip with the team for its 26-3 victory at Tampa Bay on Sunday so he could rehabilitate the sprained posterior collateral ligament in his right knee at the Jets facility.
He didnt practice last week after being injured in the teams 19-13 win over Buffalo in Toronto on Dec. 3. Kellen Clemens replaced him under center against the Buccaneers.
