Connecticut has set a school record with its 31st straight week at No. 1.
The Huskies received all 40 first-place votes in The Associated Press poll Monday from a national media panel, moving ahead of the mark set by the 1999-2001 teams.
UConn is five weeks short of the all-time record of 36 set by Louisiana Tech from 1980-82. To keep their streak going, the Huskies will have to beat No. 2 Stanford on Wednesday in Hartford.
The Cardinal were followed by Notre Dame, Tennessee and Baylor.
The Lady Vols lost at Stanford on Saturday, while Baylor was impressive in two victories over Gonzaga and Arizona State over the weekend in Las Vegas.
