Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Michael Vick was forced out of yesterday's game against San Francisco with a bruised thigh.

Vick was stopped on a third-and-1 late in the first quarter and left the field on his own power. He took a seat on the bench and was treated by the training staff. Vick left for the locker room at the end of the quarter. He was on the field for three plays. He ran twice for 2 yards.

Tennessee linebacker Keith Bulluck hurt his left knee in the third quarter against Miami and went straight to the locker room.

The team said Bulluck sprained it. He was hurt defending on third-and-2, and his knee appeared to buckle under him. Bulluck was on the ground for a couple minutes and had to be helped off the field, though he started walking without assistance once he reached the sideline.

Chicago defensive lineman Adewale Ogunleye broke his left leg in the Bears' loss to the Ravens, coach Lovie Smith said.

Seahawks rookie linebacker Aaron Curry left the game against Tampa Bay in the second half with a left shoulder stinger. Tampa Bay rookie wide receiver Sammie Stroughter left with a foot sprain, and Bucs safety Tanard Jackson joined him on the sideline later with a knee injury.

Oakland Raiders quarterback Charlie Frye was knocked out against Denver with a blow to the head and backup JaMarcus Russell came in with 10:59 left against the Broncos. Frye was hit by Broncos linebacker Andra Davis as he passed incomplete downfield, and his head hit the turf. Also, Raiders tight end Brandon Myers left the game because of a concussion.

Chargers defensive back Quentin Jammer injured a knee and San Diego defensive lineman Jacques Cesaire injured an elbow in their win over the Bengals.

Carolina running back DeAngelo Williams injured his left ankle against Minnesota. Williams was hurt on a 4-yard carry late in the first quarter. He got up and limped to the sideline, where team medical staff examined his foot and taped the outside of his shoe.

Bills cornerback Terrence McGee left after hurting his right arm during a collision with Patriots wide receiver Randy Moss in the third quarter.

NOTE

Bears: Chicago general manager Jerry Angelo yesterday said the fate of coach Lovie Smith has not yet been decided.

Before the game against the Ravens, Angelo shot down a report from Comcast SportsNet/Chicago on Friday that cited unnamed sources saying Smith would return for the next to last year of his contract in 2010.

A review of Smith will be conducted after the Bears finish the season.

"At the end of the year, we sit down, we talk," Angelo said.

After the Bears' 31-7 loss to Baltimore, Smith said he didn't expect any resolution to his contractual situation during the remainder of the regular season. The Bears close out the season with a home game against Minnesota and a road game at Detroit.
