A 33-year-old 'Ewa Beach woman has been arrested as a suspect in a purse-snatching last month in Waikíkí.

A 27-year-old woman told police she was walking through Waikíkí about 1 p.m. Nov. 29 when a woman grabbed the purse from her shoulder and ran to a waiting car.

The woman said she ran after the thief and tried to grab the purse as the other woman was getting into the passenger seat of the waiting car.

She said the woman who took the purse slammed the door on her arm, causing minor injuries.

Police said witnesses obtained the car's license plate numbers.

The suspect was found Tuesday and arrested on suspicion of second-degree robbery.
