HFD Capt. Earle Kealoha said at 10:20 p.m. that three fire companies of approximately 15 firefighters are fighting a brush fire tonight that started below several homes in the Pacific Palisades subdivision in Pearl City.
Teams of firefighters manning firehoses moved between several homes to get at the brush fire in the gulch below.
The advance of the fire has been stopped, Kealoha said and crews are attempting to control the fire which is about 50 feet below the homes.
There are no injuries. The area is moist from recent rains in the area and there is no threat to any of the homes nearby.
Kealoha said the fire does not appear to be very large and is burning slowly.
