A 41-year-old man was pronounced dead this morning after falling 100 feet in the mountains above Keeau Homestead Road in Wai'anae, said a city Emergency Medical Services spokesman.

Firefighters arrived at 10:10 a.m. and used a helicopter to bring the man's body down the ledge where he landed, said fire Capt. Robert Main.

The man was with another man and they were hunting, said Bryan Cheplic, city EMS spokesman.

No other details were available.
