The 19-year-old suspect in the Koko Crater trail stabbings has been charged with three counts of attempted murder.

Benjamin Davis, of Kalihi, was charged with one count of first-degree attempted murder and two counts of second-degree attempted murder.

His bail has been set at $100,000.

A police spokeswoman said Davis was charged about 2 p.m., after returning to Honolulu police headquarters from The Queen's Medical Center. Police have not said why Davis was transported yesterday to the hospital from the cellblock.

One of the two men stabbed in the Sunday incident was hospitalized overnight. The other remains in critical but stable condition at Queen's, police said this morning.
