NFL: Former Falcons player Jamal Anderson released

ATLANTA — Former Atlanta Falcons running back Jamal Anderson has been released from jail following his arrest on drug charges.
Fulton County Jail spokeswoman Tracey Flanagan says Anderson was let out on $6,000 bond Sunday evening.
Anderson is charged with felony cocaine possession and misdemeanor marijuana possession.
The 36-year-old played eight seasons for the Falcons before leaving with a knee injury in 2001. He worked as an NFL analyst for ESPN this past season.
Atlanta police say Anderson and 20-year-old Mark Daniel Hudson are accused of having powder cocaine in their possession and that Anderson had a suspected marijuana cigarette at an Atlanta tavern.
A phone number for a lawyer listed for Anderson could not be immediately found.
