Police traffic investigators on the Big Island have identified a 61-year-old Kealakekua man who died last week from injuries he sustained in a one-vehicle crash on Kealaola Street in Kealakekua, South Kona, as Gilbert J. Ransley.

Ransley was fatally injured while attempting to roll an inoperative Ford Ranger pickup truck out of a private driveway onto a public roadway, police said.
