The National Weather Service has issued a flood advisory for parts of Windward O'ahu until 12:30 a.m. Tuesday.

At 9:32 p.m., radar showed a band of heavy rain from near Ka'a'awa to just west of Kahuku. The area of heavy rain was nearly stationary, the weather service said.

Other areas in the advisory include Punalu'u, Turtle Bay, La'ie and Hau'ula.

Officials advise people to stay away from streams, drainage ditches and low-lying areas that are prone to flooding.
