The Honolulu Academy of Arts invites families to a free event Feb. 15 in celebration of Black History Month.

The event, called "Emphasis Africa," will give participants a chance to take a trip on the "New Underground Reading Railroad."

It also includes a 40-minute presentation by Nigerian artist Ibiyinka Alao, starting at 11:15 a.m.

The event kicks off at 11 a.m. and runs to 5 p.m.
