Surf: 7-10 feet expected on North Shore today

Advertiser Staff

Surf along the north- and west-facing shores of Oahu has come down quite a bit from yesterday when a high surf advisory was in effect.

The National Weather Service forecast for today calls for surf 7 to 10 feet with occasional 12-foot sets along north-facing shores, and 3 to 6 feet with an occasional 8-foot set along west-facing shores.

Elsewhere, look for surf of 2 to 3 feet with an occasional 4-foot set along south-facing shores and 4 to 6 feet along east-facing shores.

Outlook through Tuesday, Feb. 17: A large trade-wind swell will build above the advisory level of 8 feet along east-facing shores Friday and continue into early next week.
