VALDIDENTRO, Italy — Anders Sodergren of Sweden and Poland's Justyna Kowalczyk won cross-country skiing races at a World Cup meet today.

Sodergren crossed the finish line in 37 minutes, 58 seconds, holding off Jens Arne Svartedal of Norway, who finished in 37:59.9. Sodergren's fellow Swede Johan Olsson took third place with 38:00.2.

Kowalczyk finished strong to take first place in 29:37.4, moving him into third place in the World Cup standings. Italy's Marianna Longa was second with a time of 29:49.8. The winner of Friday's sprint, Petra Majdic of Slovenia, was third with a time of 30:07.7.
