Island-grown coffees on Island Air

Island Air and Moloka'i-based Coffees of Hawaii will begin working together March 1 in a relationship that will see Island Air passengers being served local blends and flavored coffees from beans grown throughout the Islands.

In preparation, Island Air flight attendants have toured the Coffees of Hawaii plant at Kualapu'u, Moloka'i, and versed themselves in the cultivation and roasting of specialty coffees. Coffees of Hawaii buys beans from a variety of Island growers and from Nicaragua, as well as harvesting beans on its own plantation.

The airline offers 384 weekly flights between O'ahu, Maui, Moloka'i, Lana'i and Hawai'i island.
