A free class, "Introduction to Centering Prayer," will be presented by Contemplative Outreach of Hawaii at 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. March 14 at the Parish Center, St. Ann Church, 46-129 Haiku Road, Kaneohe.

Follow-up sessions will be held Wednesday evenings, 7:15 p.m. at St. Ann's beginning March 18.

Grounded in 16 centuries of Christian tradition, contemplative prayer emphasizes prayer as a personal relationship with God. The workshop is open to people of all faiths.
