NBA: MRI on back negative, Iverson returning to Detroit

ORLANDO, Fla. — Detroit Pistons guard Allen Iverson is returning to Detroit for further examination of his stiff back and will miss Detroit's game at the Orlando Magic.
The Pistons said Iverson's MRI exam Friday came back negative. His status for Detroit's game at Boston on Sunday had not been determined.
Iverson aggravated the injury in the Pistons' 90-87 loss to New Orleans on Wednesday night.
Coach Michael Curry said Richard Hamilton was going to replace Iverson in the lineup regardless in an attempt to get the team out of its eight-game losing streak.
