The 50-meter pool at the Upcountry Aquatic Center will be closed for five weeks beginning Monday for repairs to the filter system.

The Maui Department of Parks and Recreation said the center's keiki and teaching pools will remain open for the most part during the project, except on occasions when the contractor requests closures for safety reasons.

Work is expected to be completed by April 6. Pool schedules are updated at 9 a.m. daily and are available by calling the Maui County Pools information line at 270-8208.
