Warriors to shuffle lineups

The Hawai'i volleyball team is hopeful a lineup change will lead to a change in fortune.
After losing in three sets to Stanford Thursday night, the Warriors will shake up the lineup — again — for tonight's rematch between the teams.
Gus Tuaniga, a freshman left-side hitter, will start in place of Josh Walker. Jim Clar, the team captain, will replace Brennon Dyer at opposite attacker.
In Thursday's loss, the Warriors had bouts of inconsistency, mostly rooted in inaccurate passing.
"We want to go with a more ball-control lineup," UH coach Mike Wilton said.
Tuaniga is an accomplished passer, a skill developed at an early age.
"My dad used to emphasize passing," Tuaniga said.
Clar, who is a capable passer, is counted on for right-side hitting and blocking.
Clar underwent offseason surgery on his right (hitting) shoulder. In the fall, he suffered from tendinitis in his right rotator cuff. But after extensive treatment, rest and two cortisone shots, the shoulder "is fine," Clar said.
"We're not worried about starters," UH associate coach Tino Reyes said. "We're worried about finishers. We need to finish matches."
