Sacred Hearts priest to give Damien talk at Red Mass

The Rev. Herman Gomes will discuss the life of Father Damien when he is guest speaker at the Red Mass, 9 a.m. Jan. 22 at the Cathedral of Our Lady of Peace.
Gomes, who also is a member of Damien de Veuster's Sacred Hearts order, is pastor of St. Ann Church in Kane'ohe.
The annual Red Mass is a gathering of federal, state and city officials that traditionally kicks off the new Legislative session.
