Services for "Fishing Tales" host Mike Sakamoto will be held Sunday, Jan. 25, at Dodo Mortuary in Hilo.

Visitation will be at 1 p.m. followed by a memorial service at 3.

In lieu of koden (a monetary gift) or flowers, donations may be made to the Pacific Islands Fisheries Group in memory of Sakamoto.

Sakamoto, who hosted the popular fishing show for 16 seasons, also was an accomplished painter and author. He passed away Wednesday of complications from non-Hodgkins lymphoma at the age of 59.
