City begins 'final stretch' of Kapiolani Blvd. repaving
Advertiser Staff
The city has begun what it calls the "final stretch" of repaving Kapi'olani Boulevard over this past weekend.
Motorists are advised to avoid the area or use alternate routes because of lane closures from Ward Avenue to South Street.
It is slated to continue through the next three consecutive weekends and be completed by Feb. 8.
The city repaved the rest of this major thoroughfare, from Ward Avenue to Kalakaua Avenue, late last year after completion of the water and sewer construction.
